James loves blue cheese, and I like it in small doses when I’m in the mood for it. This is a great recipe I found somewhere online. It makes an excellent dip because of how thick it is. When we have blue cheese dressing in the house, we end up using a lot more salad greens. I’d much prefer to use it for hot wings, but they’re not quite as easy to make as pulling out a bunch of lettuce.
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.
1/3 c. sour cream
2/3 c. mayo
1/4 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper
*1/4 t. dry mustard
1/4 t. garlic powder
2 oz. crumbled blue cheese
*If you don’t have this in your spice cabinet, don’t leave it out or sub with prepared mustard. It’s not the same!
Put the finished dressing in a jar or container. I would normally recommend a squeeze bottle, but the chunks of cheese make it unsuitable for one. I usually use a Mason jar with a plastic lid.
Make sure to let the blue cheese dressing chill overnight before serving. It tastes much better that way. Then, enjoy it with your salad or Buffalo wings. If you decide on wings, don’t forget the celery sticks! They complete the trifecta of delicious flavors.
Note: Is is bleu or blue?
