I remember watching a YouTube video where the cook declared that everybody has their version of “pink mayonnaise”. This is absolutely true, and I’ve come up with my own. This creamy, spicy (or not) chipotle sauce is the best condiment for any kind of burrito.
Mix everything together in a small bowl. Then, pour it into a squeeze container. It’s best chilled before serving so the flavors have time to mingle.
β c. mayo
β c. sour cream
ΒΌ c. chipotle hot sauce (I use this one made by Cholula. It’s not spicy at all.)
2 T. hot sauce (medium spicy) I prefer Texas Pete, but any medium-spiced hot sauce would work here, as long as you like the flavor. (I wouldn’t use anything with other strong flavors like Tabasco or Sriracha.) For a mild sauce, leave this hot sauce out.
My absolute favorite use for chipotle sauce is on breakfast burritos. It gives a creamy, spicy tang that can’t be replicated with any single condiment. I’ve also used it for dipping chicken nuggets or tater tots because I’m in elementary school at heart. π (Maybe that’s why I went to school to be an elementary teacher!)
