Italian Seasoning

Once upon a time, I ran out of Italian seasoning. I don’t remember where I found this mix, but I like it even better than the stuff at the store.

It couldn’t be easier. Mix all of the herbs and spices together. Store them in an airtight container. General advice says to use herbs and spices within 6 months, but I never do that.

3 T. basil

1 t. onion power

3 T. oregano

1 t. thyme

3 T. parsley

1 t. rosemary

1 T. garlic powder

¼ t. black pepper

¼ t. pepper flakes

  • 3 tablespoons basil
  • 3 tablespoons oregano
  • 3 tablespoons parsley
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes


  • Mix all of the spices and herbs together. Store in an airtight container.
